Some Fast Food Facts to Munch On!

I came across some interesting facts that I thought you might be interested in. You might want to share these with your kids or grand kids if you have any. I knew the things I would find wouldn’t be good, but some of these things are ridiculous! Let me know if you agree!
- Each day 1 in 4 Americans go to a fast food restaurant.
– In 1972, Americans spent 3 billion dollars on fast food. Today we spend 110 billion!
– McDonalds feeds 46 million people per day. That is about 15% of the population
– French fries are the most eaten vegetable in America.
– You must walk 7 hours per day to burn off one super-size Coke, fries, and Big Mac.
– Americans eat more than one million animals per HOUR!
– Only 7 items on McDonald’s entire menu has no sugar.
– Willard Scott was the first Ronald McDonald. He was fired for getting too fat.
– McDonalds distributes more toys per year than Toy’s R Us.
– Charlie Bells, the immediate past CEO of McDonald’s died this past month at the age of 44 of colo-rectal cancer. He began as a counter worker at age 15 and was proud to say that he ate at least one McDonald’s product every day.
– If you eat 2 Egg McMuffins and 2 hash browns for breakfast, your arteries will remain inflamed till lunch.
– 40% of American meals are eaten outside of the home.
– 60% of all Americans are overweight or obese.
– Left unabated, obesity will surpass smoking as the leading cause of preventable deaths.
– The World Health Organization says obesity is a global epidemic.
– 1 in 3 children born in the year 2000 will develop diabetes in their lifetime.
– The average child sees 10,000 TV ads per year.
